EVERYTHING I SAY IS RIGHT
THE DEEP AND PROFOUND THOUGHTS OF CITIZEN STUART, MANCHESTER BASED LIBERTARIAN, TARGET SHOOTER AND SPACE ENTHUSIAST. EVERYTHING I SAY ON THIS BLOG IS MY OPINION, AND NOT NECESSARILY THAT OF THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY.
I find myself on the horns of a dilemma. I usually have a very clear idea of what I want, but at the moment I'm dithering. Long term readers may remember that last year, I made a promise to buy a gun a year until the pistol ban is repealed . For various reasons (mostly financial) I have yet to buy this year's gun, but time's getting on, so I must make a decision about what to buy soon. I've been meaning to get a .44 Pietta Remington New Model Army muzzle-loading revolver, as I've always considered myself to be primarily a pistol shooter, and they are certainly fun. Last time I checked, Henry Kranks were selling them for about £166 upwards - I'm working at the moment, so I can probably scrape the cash together before the end of the year if I really try. On the other hand, most of my shooting lately has been with my trusty .357 Winchester Legacy, and it has occurred to me that I really should be a better shot than I am by now. When I miss, I have a tendency to miss to the right for some reason. More practice is definitely required, but I can't be at the club every night. I could get an air rifle to practice at home, though - and it might be cheaper than the revolver, which is a consideration. I must make a decision soon, but which is the best for me right now - muzzle loading revolver or air rifle?
DECISIONS, DECISIONS...

Mr Free Market / Website (8.10.08 07:40) Buy 'em both - go on, you know it makes sense. So you dont get to eat for a couple of weeks to be able to afford two new firearms... trust me when I say that the thought of the PSH you will induce in the anti-firearm lobby will sustain you |
