The Last Post

For various reasons, I've decided that now's the time to retire this blog.  I haven't been able to maintain it with the same energy and focus lately, and frankly it's been in decline for the last couple of years.  Partly it's because some of my energies have been going towards Libertarian Party activities (and I will still be contributing to the Party members' blogs), partly it's because I've been finding it a bit hard to get on top of my personal economic situation lately.

And I'm also coming out of the worst summer of my life, having just lost my mother to cancer.  It's taken me a few weeks to get my energy levels back up to the point where I can even be bothered posting this.

It doesn't help that it's been an unusually long time since my last job finished, so I really need to focus my energies on getting some kind of decent employment (me and the rest of Labour's millions).

So this seems to me the right time to put this blog to bed.  I'll leave it up for a few weeks, then cancel my account with 20Six.  That's not to say that I'll be gone for good.  As I've said, I'll still contribute to the Libertarian Party blogs, and it wouldn't surprise me if I start a new, more focussed, personal blog in the fairly near future.

Until then, there's a couple of things I'd like you to do, my hypothetical reader:

1)  Join the Libertarian Party (or at least bung us some money, we need it).

2)  Make a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.

TTFN,

Stuart
